Frequencies of Belonging

What does it mean to feel at home? In Frequencies of Belonging, Tiziana Alocci explores the connections between space, memory, and identity through an immersive composition of sound and voice. Based on voice messages collected between Italy and the UK, the work transforms intangible data into evocative soundscapes and visual suggestions. Inspired by Bachelard’s The Poetics of Space, the installation reflects on dwelling in the digital age, where “home” becomes an emotional, fragmented, and fluid territory. A project that merges art and technology to give shape to the invisible and listen to belonging.
